This class includes an adult quiet observation time as the children explore and play, an adult conversation time where parents and caregivers can receive peer and facilitator support, and ends with a short singing time all together.
We are offering two distinct sessions of this class Sept – Dec 2023. One will be at Monica Ros Campus and one will be at Secure Beginnings. Read on!
Your growing tot will have outside and inside child-centered play, including some messy sensory activities, clean up, singing, stories, and a simple snack.
Children will learn that they can wait, listen to others, be listened to, problem solve, and be part of a group.
During the inside playtime, parents/caregivers will start with quiet observation, exploring “parent tools” for supporting feelings, attachment, autonomy, mastery and problem solving, and sharing the ups and downs of living with a toddler with other parents and a facilitators.
When you fill out the online registration form you will be asked if you would like to request a scholarship for the class. Select “Yes” and we will contact you after we receive your registration form with a scholarship offer.
Scholarships are awarded based on income, using the Ventura County HUD guidelines, however we are committed to ensuring that all families have access to our services. If a scholarship amount does not work for your family we will work with you to find an arrangement that does.
All important family members and caregivers in your child’s life are welcome to attend with your child!
