Parent Education & Peer Support

Parent Education & Peer Support Classes

Though we are in a time of intentional distancing, we are not meant to parent alone. Join in weekly dialogue with Secure Beginnings facilitators and other parents/caregivers who have children near your child’s age.

Each class will feature Secure Beginnings curriculum focusing on calm and connection as well as peer discussion. We’ll find out what’s important to you and your family now, and support you in finding your way. We’ll explore stages of development, partnership and family, tools to support adult and child feelings, attachment, autonomy, and problem solving. We’ll share ideas to implement at home focused on connection, calm and pleasure that include tending to your child’s needs as well as your own.

We encourage you to join by video to enhance personal connection. We know children may or may not be present. Classes are designed for adult discussion. If children are present, we’ll include Secure Beginnings’ ritual of songs for little ones. As a group, we'll stay aware that little ears may be nearby.

Parent Education and Peer Support is not offered Summer 2020, but we do have parent discussion through Conversations with Carol as well as other Online Programming. Please subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
