Carol Castanon, Parent Consultant
Secure Beginnings Parent Consultant Carol Castanon has guided schools and worked with families prenatal to 18 for over 40 years. She was the Executive Director of Secure Beginnings, formerly Nan Tolbert Nurturing Center, from 2008 until 2017. Carol holds a degree in Human Development, and is certified in Maternal Mental Health and Parent-Child Relationships. She is a mediator specializing in family and school-based communication. Her theoretical leanings are in attachment, understanding the emotional life of children, child development, and anti-bias practices.
